SVHM staff and students have 24 hour access to the Library's electronic resources.

  • Start by using any shortcut or database/custom links on this page 
  • Users are ONLY asked to authenticate once they click on paid content. When prompted, enter your SVHM network email and password. See illustration below:

 

Extensions & Databases

The LibKey Nomad browser extension is a full-text discovery tool. When browsing journal sites or searching Pubmed, the LibKey icon  links users to their Institution's full-text and open access content. See instructions and help video below:

 

  1.  Download LibKey Nomad extension for browser of your choice.
  2. Type or select St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. Members of multiple institutions can switch locations at any time.

Bookmark SVHM's Google Scholar 

  1. Go to SVHM's Google Scholar
  2. Enter your search terms or article title 
  3. Click on Check SVHM Library to view article or to request it from Library

  1. Search using SVHM's PubMed link - Add to your Bookmarks
  2. The SVHM Logo  will link to subscribed and open access content when available.

3. When fulltext is unavailable, the  will redirect to a Request Form option

The Library's fulltext content is discoverable in Medline and other OVID databases

  1. The results screen displays a Check for Full-Text link
  2. Follow this link to download the fulltext or to 'request article' form
