Covidence software for systematic reviews

The library now has an institutional licence to Covidence for staff of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.

Covidence is an online software program that simplifies the process of systematic and scoping reviews for publication. It is most useful where two or more people are screening records for relevance, making the process much more efficient and saving an enormous amount of time. Using Covidence you can:

  • access the software on or offsite, including on your mobile phone
  • upload search results from Endnote
  • choose how many people need to screen results (such as any two of a group of researchers)
  • list inclusion and exclusion criteria
  • screen titles and abstracts quickly by voting yes, no or maybe
  • upload PDFs for full text screening
  • automatically record the process in a PRISMA flowchart
  • export results
  • access risk of bias and extraction tools with a Cochrane focus

For more information visit https://www.covidence.org and contact the library on 9231 2541 or Library.svhmlibrary@svha.org.au
