EndNote X9.3 is here!
EndNote X9 and later libraries are not backwardly compatible with older versions of EndNote. If you work in an environment with multiple versions of EndNote you can convert your libraries to the new database engine using the instructions below.
To use libraries created with EndNote X8, X9 or X9.2 , you need to convert the library through EndNote X9.3 or later. To do this,
1. Open EndNote X9.3 or later
2. select File / Open / Open Library...and select the old EndNote library file you wish to convert.
When saving do not select the box that says "Save as a Package". EndNote X9.3 or later will create a new library and leave the original library unchanged.
If you are located offsite (working remotely) please see options available to you at EndNote Offsite
