Through the provision of care, advocacy and research, St Vincent's Hospital Australia seeks to change the structures and systems that lead to some people experiencing poorer health outcomes than others as a consequence of poverty, marginalisation or vulnerability.

St Vincent's focus is on addressing the health care needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people experiencing chronic homelessness and people living in the community seeking asylum.

St Vincent's efforts in regard to each of these communities are directed through:

1. Clinical care: through the delivery of services and community partnerships committed to bringing about long-term changes in health outcomes.
2. Research: examining the social determinants of health to improve health services and guide initiatives.
3. Advocacy: advocating for and contributing to health and social policy that aims to improve health services for all people, especially those experiencing poor health outcomes. https://www.svha.org.au/mission/inclusive-health

COVID-19: St Vincent Hospital's Inclusive Health Program continues to monitor the situation for vulnerable groups and is working to support our health services at the front lines.
