Library Services' Knowledge Update is a weekly bulletin which includes feature articles across a wide range of topics, new physical and e-books in the Library, and websites of interest.

Access to full text articles is available both on and offsite using a St Vincent's login.
OA indicates that an article is open access and can be accessed by anyone

Access Medicine - more than just books

The Access Medicine site provides much more than 110 books.

It also includes an extensive Multimedia section that includes diagnostic and imaging studies, case studies, procedural videos, patient safety learning modules and more.

There is also a Cases section, with cases drawn from a wide range of clinical areas.

There is also 2 Minute Medicine, which provides daily updates on relevant studies from the literature. You can view reports relevant to a particular medical specialty from a drop-down menu, and even sign up for email alerts.

Covidence is online software specifically created for facilitating the writing of systematic reviews. St Vincent's now has an institutional licence, if you would like to gain access please contact the Library on library.svhmlibrary@svha.org.au


EndNote is bibliographic management software that allows you to store records of references, their full text PDF, organise them, and cite them in a Word document to create formatted bibliographies. STATA is software for data manipulation, visualization, statistics, and automated reporting. STATA 12 is available from your PC, for access while working from home request access from IT. Statalist is a popular community forum.
