Ovid Pharamacovigilance Tool

The Pharmacovigilance Toll (PV Tool) is a special interface available on the Ovid  database platform to guide you to a better search on Medline or Embase for topics specifically about drugs.

The tool allows you to enter a drug name. Then you can select as many search terms related to that drug as you need, and derive alternate names for the drug. You can then limit to 'special populations' - - children, the elderly, or pregnancy' and limit to humans.

The PV Tool is available at any time on the Ovid database search page. Look for the icon at the top of the screen.
Alternatively, you can click on the hyperlink in the title above.
