Site Spotlight

Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System. Interim Report November 2019

The Commission’s interim report includes priority recommendations that address immediate needs and lay foundations for a new approach to mental health.

There are 9 recommendations in the interim report, including the creation of a Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing, the creation of an Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing Centre, establishing Victoria’s first residential mental health service, an additional 170 youth and adult acute mental health beds, and workforce initiatives.

The Commission’s final report is due in October 2020.
